Location description

Kingston is a treasure trove for photographers at any time of day, and in any light. One of the area's highlights are the old lighter boats which are left to spend their retirement years among Kingston's Old Town area buildings. They remain as monuments to their years of service ferring cargo between ships and the shore. This photo was taken at dusk about 20 minutes after sunset, where the colours in the sky linger long after the sun has dipped below the horizon.

Shooting notes

A long exposure helps to blend the swirling ocean into to silky mist.
