Description du lieu
In 1856 the Morayshire arrived at Norfolk Island with the entire Pitcairn Island community on-board. Each year in June Norfolk Islanders celebrate this anniversary by re-enacting the landing of their forebearers at Kingston Pier and march together to the Cemetery. Dressed in traditional costume a procession heads to the Cenotaph on Quality Row to lay wreaths, and from there it continues along Quality Row to the Cemetery where the Islanders sing hymns and pay respect to relatives, friends and loved ones that have been laid to rest. This is a view from Queen Elizabeth Lookout to the Kingston Pier as the procession passes the New Gaol.
Notes de prise de vue
To achieve this shot you'll need a zoom lens at 200mm+ zoom. It's a unique shot to see as most people will prefer to be at the pier to watch the procession more closely.
